Your Privacy, Plainly Stated
This site collects minimal data, uses it only for the stated purpose, and never sells it. Two analytics tools and, once advertising is switched on, Google AdSense process some data on their side, and Google's services set their own cookies. This page covers exactly what is collected, who else is involved, how consent works, and your rights.

What We Collect
Analytics data
Pages viewed, how you arrived, device and browser type, and approximate location. Two tools measure it: Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, and Google Analytics 4, which uses first-party cookies to tell visits apart and, because it is linked to my Google Ads account, also works with Google’s advertising cookies (see Google Ads under Third Parties). The data is looked at only in aggregate, to understand which content is useful and how my own ads perform.
Newsletter email address
If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address, your first name if you give it, and the page you signed up from are saved and used only to send the newsletter. They are never sold, shared with third parties for marketing, or used for any other purpose.
Template reviews
If you review a template you bought, the form sends your name, email, rating and review to a private Google Sheet of reviews in my Google account. After I match your email to a Gumroad purchase, the review, its rating, the date and the name you gave are published on that template’s page. Your email address is never published. Ask me to remove your review at any time.
Contact inquiries
If you use the contact form or email directly, your name, email address, the topic, any page link you add and your message are kept to respond to your inquiry. They are not stored in a marketing database or used beyond the scope of the inquiry.
What We Don't Do
These are explicit commitments — not aspirational statements.
- Sell or rent your personal data to anyone
- Use the data we collect to build our own marketing profiles of you
- Send unsolicited email to anyone who has not subscribed to the newsletter
- Collect more data than is needed for the stated purpose
- Retain data longer than necessary for the purpose it was collected
One exception worth naming plainly: Google Analytics, and Google AdSense once advertising is switched on, set their own cookies, and Google processes that data on its side. That is disclosed in full under Cookie Policy and in Third Parties below, with opt-out options. The commitments above describe what this site does with the data it collects — not what independent partners do with their own cookies.
Third Parties
This site uses the following third-party services. Each may process data according to their own privacy policies.
Cloudflare
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which handles technical request data such as IP address and browser details to deliver pages securely and block abuse. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies and without identifying individual visitors.
Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga, and _ga_ followed by an ID) to measure visits and page views, and Google processes that data under its own privacy policy. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. You can block it through your browser’s cookie settings or with Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Google Ads
My Google Analytics property is linked to my Google Ads account, so I can measure the ads I run on Google for my own products. Because of that link, the Google Analytics tag also sends visit data to Google’s advertising domains: stats.g.doubleclick.net, www.google.com and your country’s Google domain (www.google.co.in in India). Where your browser allows third-party cookies, those requests carry Google’s own advertising cookies, such as IDE, and Google matches them with the Google Analytics cookie. Google sets and controls those cookies, not this site. Google signals and user-provided data collection are both switched off: my reports get no age, gender or interest data from Google accounts, and no email address, phone number or postal address from this site is sent to Google Analytics or Google Ads. To opt out, turn off personalised ads in Google’s My Ad Center, use the NAI’s opt-out page, block third-party cookies in your browser, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on, which stops these requests along with Google Analytics itself.
Google AdSense
When advertising is switched on, ads are served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads, measure them, limit repeats and, where permitted, personalise them based on your visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google’s My Ad Center, or opt out of many third-party vendors at aboutads.info/choices.
Affiliate networks
None at the moment: the site carries no third-party affiliate links. If one returns, it may pass tracking parameters to the affiliate network to attribute a purchase or sign-up, the network handles that data under its own privacy policy, and the link is marked as an affiliate link where it appears.
Google Sheets and Gmail
Newsletter sign-ups and contact-form messages are saved to a private Google Sheet in my Google account, which Google stores and processes under its own privacy policy. Each contact-form message is also emailed to me through Gmail so I can reply.
Email service provider
None for the newsletter: the list is the Google Sheet above, and I send each issue myself. There is no confirmation email — you are on the list from the moment you subscribe — and you can unsubscribe at any time by replying “unsubscribe” to any issue.
Payments
Gumroad processes purchases of my paid products. When you buy, Gumroad collects your payment and contact details under its own privacy policy; I receive your name, email address and what you bought, and use them only to deliver the product and handle support.
Consent
The site is built for readers in India. This is how cookie consent works here, and what applies to visitors from other countries.
Built for readers in India
The site is written for readers in India and does not show a cookie consent banner. Google Analytics and the Google Ads measurement described above run as stated. Ads on this site, and the advertising cookies that serve them, start only once ads are switched on.
Europe, the UK and Switzerland
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics and advertising storage are off by default and stay off unless you agree. Elsewhere, Google Analytics runs as described above, and you can block its cookies in your browser at any time.
Visitors from other countries
Where a visitor’s country requires consent before advertising cookies are used, as in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google applies its own consent rules to the ads it serves there, which can mean fewer, limited or non-personalised ads.
Analytics
You can stop Google Analytics measuring your visits by blocking its cookies in your browser or installing Google’s opt-out add-on. Nothing on the site stops working if you do.

This site uses cookies for analytics and, once it is switched on, advertising. Full details of which cookies are set, their purpose, and how to control them are in the Cookie Policy.
Your Rights
You have the following rights over any personal data held about you. To exercise any of them, email directly.
Access
You can request a copy of any personal data held about you — your email address if subscribed, or any information from a direct inquiry.
Correction
If personal data held is inaccurate, you can request it be corrected.
Deletion
You can request deletion of your personal data at any time. Newsletter unsubscribes are taken off the list before the next issue goes out. Other data deletion requests are handled within a reasonable timeframe.
Objection
You can object to any processing of your personal data. If you believe data is being used in a way not described here, contact directly.

Visitors in India
Personal data is handled in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You can ask for access, correction or deletion, withdraw consent you gave (for example, by unsubscribing from the newsletter), and raise a grievance with the contact below. If it is not resolved, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Visitors in the EEA and UK
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to its processing, or ask for a copy in a portable format. Write to the grievance officer address above; I respond within 30 days.
How long data is kept
Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact-form messages and email inquiries are kept only as long as needed to handle them. Analytics data is kept in aggregate, under the retention settings of the analytics tools.
Children
The site is written for adults managing their own money. It is not directed at children, and no one under 18 should send personal data through the newsletter, the contact form or by email.
Changes
When this policy changes in a meaningful way — for example, when advertising is switched on — the “Last updated” date at the top of this page changes with it.
